Felt extremely lucky when I found a cupboard lock the exact same size as my old broken one. The escritoire was an old, dirty and battered cupboard sitting in my old uncle’s banana farm. I lovingly restored it and french polished it. i was surprised when I got the new lock. as the keyhole is on the left side rather than the right like the old one. I had to carve a new keyhole to make it fit and now I have to re-finish this bit of the silky oak front patching the old keyhole and re surfacing it. Thanks anyway though. I is a good lock,
